Culture & Society
This past weekend we were in Fresno, and as I was googling the internet for things to do on a Saturday night, the event AlleyWave popped-up on my screen. It looked very interesting and different, so we headed downtown looking for the party.
I have to admit that I did not expect to find such a cool event happening in Fresno. I liked the idea of using an alley to bring people together in a positive way through music, food, and art. The event was small, but there was a DJ, live music, a couple of cool guys jamming, food trucks (even vegan options) and lots of artisanal beer. It was a family friendly event and the vibe was positive.

As a person living in the Bay Area and going to Fresno so often, I thought what many Californians think, that nothing ever happens in Fresno. I thought that right in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley there’s just heat, heat and more heat. Well, from now one, I’ll have to keep finding cool things happening in Fresno, so I can keep saying that cool things are actually happening in this city, you just have to look for them.

Here are some pictures from the AlleyWave event this past Saturday, April 20th, 2019.
